NaPoWriMo Day 11: The Tanka

Today's prompt is to do a Tanka - not that I always follow the prompt - but I do like trying different types of poetry so why not?

The Tanka is a Japanese poetry type of five lines, the first and third composed of five syllables and the rest of seven.  Tanka is the oldest type of poetry in Japan.

The final Outcome
It is yet to be revealed
The waiting is hard
and for now out of my hands
This is true powerlessness
